NAS File Finder

A Windows utility for searching file names and folder names inside a NAS, shared folder, or local directory. It is intended for quick name-based lookup without installing Python or other extra tools.

Download ZIP package

1. Extract the ZIP

Right-click the downloaded ZIP file and extract all files before running the installer.

2. Install

Double-click install_NAS_File_Finder.bat. A desktop shortcut will be created.

3. Launch

Open the NAS File Finder shortcut, or run start_search_app.bat from the extracted folder.

4. Search

Enter a search word and choose the target folder. You can search files, folders, or both.

How to use it

  1. 1. Enter the search keyword.
  2. 2. Select the target folder, or directly enter a UNC path.
  3. 3. If needed, choose a shortcut file to resolve a .lnk destination.
  4. 4. Choose whether to search files, folders, or both.
  5. 5. Start the search.

Search results can be opened by double-clicking. You can also open the containing folder or copy paths. No additional Python installation is required.
